The Axiotron Modbook uses Wacom's Penabled digitizer technology for it's pen interface.

Main Features

Writing Pressure Sensing: 512 levels
Recognition Accuracy: 20x display resolution
Recognition Rate: 133 point/sec
No batteries required

The Benefits

The Modbook's Wacom technology provides "highly sensitive pen-on-screen experience so you can work directly on your images and applications in the most natural way possible. With "pen-point" accuracy, fast cursor control, and 512 levels of pressure-sensitivity on the pen tip and eraser"

What this means to the artist is better line quality and creation of textures compared to any tablet pc's
Hi. I have some questions as to the Wacom features of the Modbook:

1. Can you use other wacom pens with the Modbook, like the larger Cintiq pens or the digital airbrush?

2. Is tilt sensitivity part of the modbook features?

Thanks.

The Axiotron Modbook was designed with ultimate portability in mind without sacrificing the power of Apple's Macbook. That being said, and without getting into too much gory detail, No you can't use Cintiq pens because this would have made a significant impact to battery life, and no you can't get tilt because the size of the modbook would have had to have been increased significantly (without increasing the size of the screen). What you DO have with the modbook is the ONLY portable, battery powered system anywhere with 512 levels of pressure with a one-to-one on-screen interface, and the only system of it's kind capable of running OSX.
motion 1400 fits nicely in slot and works flawlessly
The pen for my 15 in. (older model) Cintiq seems to work just fine on my Modbook... as well as vice versa. That said, I don't regularly use the Cintiq pen as I actually like the smaller feel to the Modbook one. Should I refrain from using the Cintiq pen on the Modbook for any reason? Just curious.

You can get these pens directly from Wacom and they will work perfectly with the Modbook and all Penabled Tablet PCs:

When the screen is rotated from landscape to portrait orientation, does the display of the screen rotate when the orientation changes?
Screen rotation is not support yet....
