VESA mounts?
Hello -
I'm looking around for any info on compatible VESA products that will work for
the Modbook and I can't find anything. Is there a mounting solution available?
Any mounting info would be great!
Thanks!

Hi -
Axiotron is developing a Quick-Release Bracket that can be used with any VESA-compatible arm. The Quick-Release Bracket will attach securely to locking points on the Modbook's top shell.
Currently, Axiotron anticipates the Quick-Release Bracket will become available in Q3 2008.
Axiotron's website will have more information about this and other Modbook accessories in the coming months. Be sure to check back!

RE: VESA mounts?
would this quick release bracket also be for a future stand, ala the Cintiq ones, either the 12wx and/or 20wx ones? these would be great for drawing, etc...thanks

Hi -
No, this particular bracket will be for attachment to VESA-compatible arms only.
There are third-party stands available -- some of which have been discussed in these forums -- but Axiotron has not tested, authorized or issued a recommendation on any particular stand.
Keep an eye on Axiotron's website in the coming months for more information on the Quick-Release Bracket and other Modbook accessories.

RE: VESA mounts?
Heh! Seems like a company culture to deliver everything late? Q3 is way over. We approach Q1 of 2009! I'm afraid I'll wait another year for my aluminum Modbook at that pace!
Any updates on these quick release brackets?

It has now been 7 months since the above post was made, and I haven't heard anything from Axiotron about the status of the Quick-Release Bracket or any other accessories. At this point it's been 2 years since these products were announced without any real progress updates.
I'd like to know if these products are still in development, and if so, what is the new estimated time they will be ready. I understand Axiotron has been busy dealing with current Modbook issues as well as developing the Modbook Pro, but a 2 year wait for a simple VESA adaptor is just ridiculous.
